Does this sound familiar?
“I’m not so great at math. You don't learn how to fortify expressed breast milk and concentrate infant formula in school.”
If you are like 99% of the dietitians we talk to, you find it extremely stressful and overwhelming to decipher infant feed recipes, come up with recipes that are not standard and work with modulars – especially when you’re not called to do so very often.
You're confused about when and how to factor in displacement, and you dread unfamiliar formulas and modulars. Forget about coming up with a non-standard recipe!
The truth is that even after years of education and training, most of us still struggle with the “math stuff”.
This is exactly why we created this workshop.
This workshop is for you if...
You see infants in your practice and struggle with the "math stuff"
You are overwhelmed with how to decipher the concentration of a recipe and are confused about when to calculate displacement
You find yourself telling families you'll get back to them later with a new recipe
Have you ever asked yourself ...
❓ How do you decipher a recipe that a family is using? Where do you find the information and what steps do you take to calculate the concentration?
❓ When do you factor in the dreaded displacement?
❓ What about providing families with non-standard recipes? Is there a step-by-step approach I can take to figure this out?
❓ What are some important considerations when working with modulars? How do you safely add them to tailor the recipe to your goals?
Our Dietitian Math - Infant Feed Concentration Workshop gives you all the tools and steps to be able to answer those questions and more confidently!

Meet Your Instructors
Learn from Registered Dietitians with 35+ years in the field
Hi! Charlene and Julie here.
We are the founders of Nutrition Masterclass and pediatric dietitians with more than 35+ years of combined experience in complex pediatric care, both in community clinics and hospitals.
We met working together at our local children's hospital and teamed up to create Nutrition Masterclass as a way to share our experiences working with the vulnerable pediatric population.
Needless to say, we have seen it all and have the binders to prove it!
Course Curriculum
Module 1: Dietitian Math Introduction
Module 2: Fortifying Expressed Breastmilk Using Infant Formula Powder
Module 3: Fortifying Expressed Breastmilk Using Liquid Concentrate
Module 4: Concentrating Using Infant Formula Powder
Module 5: Concentrating Using Liquid Concentrate
Module 6: Concentrating Using Modulars
We deliver these topics through case studies so you don’t just get the textbook knowledge but see our step-by-step approach.
Following the introduction, each module contains a section on deciphering recipes provided to you by families and how to provide recipes to caregivers, including both standard recipes and tailoring recipe for patients with special needs.
Some modules have a section for “tricky situations” - because we know those come up!
And the best part of all ... our rapid fire case studies!
After you've completed your modules, it's time to put what you've learned to the test.
You have 12 EBM case studies and 12 formula case studies to work through on your own. Then, we go through "the homework" and show you step-by-step how we worked out our answers.
Hands on practice! You get an answer key and a recording where we tackle the math with you and show you how we sometimes modify our recipes to make them practical in the real world.
PLUS a bonus cheat sheet! (so you never have to go digging for the information you need)
