Get Clarity on the Third-Generation Fenton Preterm Growth Charts

Dr. Tanis Fenton, MHSc, PhD, RD, FDC, the developer of the Fenton Preterm Growth Charts, will walk you through what’s new, what’s different, and why it matters for preterm infants in clinical practice.

You’ll leave the webinar with a clear understanding of:

  • How the new curves were developed and how they differ from previous versions
  • What the charts are (and are not) designed to show
  • How to apply this knowledge confidently in real-world practice

This isn’t just a review of changes; it’s practical guidance for interpreting growth data and making informed decisions.

A Personal Note from Julie, Co-Founder of Nutrition Masterclass

Dr. Fenton was my Professional Practice Leader in my very first registered dietitian role and a key mentor in shaping both my clinical practice and what I believed was possible in this profession.

This session reflects the same thoughtful, evidence-informed approach she has always brought to the bedside, and her generosity in sharing time, experience, and practical insight. It’s your chance to learn directly from her and ask your own questions.

Why This Webinar Matters for NICU and Follow-Up Dietitians

As many health care settings prepare for, or are already navigating, the implementation of the third-generation Fenton curves, dietitians are being asked important (and sometimes uncomfortable) questions in practice:

  • What do we need to understand before, during, and after implementation of the new curves?
  • Is the data set validated?
  • How should growth interpretation adapt alongside emerging evidence?
  • How do we balance population-based data with the individual infant in front of us?
  • How does Dr. Fenton see the role of the NICU dietitian changing over time?

This live session includes dedicated time for questions and discussion, giving you the opportunity to ask Dr. Fenton these questions directly.
